Some of you in the photography area may have heard about alien bees. little sturdy studio lights that ahh well it's not an ad campaign ;-)

Anyway... the forum just shut down :-( it was a great resource of photography (in and out of the studio).

but luckily one of the usual suspects took it upon himself to create a new forum to take over. You will find most of the usual peeps there and some new ones too :-)
I am sure that over time this will be a new great source of information as well as inspiration.
Best part for me is that there are many of the users that have a great knowledge and are willing to share.
So if you are doing photography and have Q's or just searching for info/inspiration. I would recommend checking out the forum:

Coming back home is always an interesting topic. Since well the vacation was going to Denmark where I am from which kind of always will make that home to me. But we came back state side and have now had a little time to get back on top of things and get some photos organized.

The trip was really great only too short. Just so happened that the weather was on our side and it got warm and toasty but still with a little puff of air here and there.

For those interested I started writing and posting photos on my blog but I must admit that Jacki my dear wife is soo much better at finding all the details and do some very good posts on her blog.

But if you want to get some travel stories from Denmark head on over and check out our blogs ;-)

Smoke photos

1 min read
Last night I finally got around to posting two items on my blog (pdyrholm.blogspot.com) about creating smoke photos or art smoke or smoke art or whatever you want to call it ;-)

I got one section describing the setup I used on my main blog and in the photoshop section I got a description of post processing.

I keep forgetting the time it takes to actually create these setups and tutorials and sure didn't even get around to processing any photos.

But *do* drop by my blog and feel free to comment on what you see :-) best way to learn.

ohh yeah you know I am creating these since a lot of what I have learned has been from various web sites and blogs and well just my way of hopefully providing a little good stuff back. So go ahead and be inspired if you wish
